COVID-19 outbreak: As of 21st March 2022 all major restrictions have been lifted. Our task programme will continue as before.
From 1st April we have significantly increase the number of volunteers permitted in our minibus. While full capacity won't be achieved for a while yet, we hope this will make it easier for you to come on task with us. Face-masks (unless exempt) will continue to be required on our minibus.
Lateral flow testing is no longer generally available. As before, volunteers who are experiencing symptoms should not attend tasks
As I write this we approach the winter solstice when the days begin to lengthen and we can look back on a successful LCV season and forward to a new one. It has been a period of ongoing change wrapped up in continuity as we carry on our work with a variety of clients, both old and new, with a variety of interesting tasks, while saying goodbye to Ian and Mark as they head for a new adventure in the far North.
Their departure opens up some committee vacancies and if you are interested in a post please do contact me through the usual channels.
In other big news our Stage 1 application to convert to a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation has been approved and we can now get the final, Stage 2, application underway. This is excellent news.
And of course, as always, we would love to hear from anyone who thinks they might like to help out with driving our minibus! We can arrange for D1 training. Happy New Year to everyone and I look forward to seeing you all out and about soon.
