Lothians Conservation Volunteers' Ceilidh - 10th November 2012

COVID-19 outbreak: As of 21st March 2022 all major restrictions have been lifted. Our task programme will continue as before.

From 1st April we have significantly increased the number of volunteers permitted in our minibus. We hope this will make it easier for you to come on task with us. In line with guidance for public transport, face masks are encouraged but are no longer required.

Lateral flow testing is no longer generally available. As before, volunteers who are experiencing symptoms should not attend tasks

Many thanks to everyone who came to this year's fundraising ceilidh - over 120 in total. It was lovely to see some new faces as well as others more practised in ceilidh dancing. As is traditional, LCV members staffed the bar and the door as well as assisting with set up and clear up. A big thank you goes to all who assisted on the night. It was great to see the dance floor of the South Side Community Centre full when the wonderful Hud Yer Weesht ceilidh band struck up the tunes.

We're still counting the pennies so I can't report the funds raised, but we were in profit on the night, which will help us provide tools and training in the coming year.

Heartfelt thanks go to all the organisations which sponsored the raffle and provided us with a great array of tickets to some of Edinburgh's top attractions as well as a crate of beer:

Sponsors, in no particular order

Here's to next year! In the meantime, keep a look-out for other LCV socials, coming to an evening near you.
