Well, the nights have drawn in but volunteer enthusiasm has hardly diminished with full buses on many recent tasks.
For those who prefer their fun indoors at this chilly time of year there have also been some fine social events: we came second in the pub quiz recently and had a great night at the ceilidh.
The annual fundraising ceilidh raises a lot of the money we need to pay for the insurance, training, fuel and equipment that is necessary to take people on tasks. Thankfully, this year's ceilidh was very well supported and made a healthy profit. An enormous amount of work goes into the ceilidh and so many thanks to all those who printed, postered, flyered, invited friends, donated raffle prizes, helped out on the night, or just came along and had fun. Particular thanks to Simon for holding together the organisational strings in the face of extreme provocation from his day job!
